Recieve top notch instruction with a great student to coach ratio. The class is all about prevention, swimming rapids, throw ropes, walking in strong current, and chasing gear down.  We will also cover topics such as mechanical advantage, advanced rope tech, defensive swimming, swimming through strainers, chasing gear, and pinned boat extraction.  The class consists of one weekday evening classroom session and two days on the water over the weekend.  The evening classroom session is from 7pm - 9:30pm and the on river weekend sessions are from 9-4pm.  We will wrap up on Sunday at the take-out by about 4pm

Things To Bring

You will need a full whitewater kit including drysuit or heavy wetsuit.  This class involves lots of swimming.  Also bring any safety gear you would normally bring with you paddling.  If you have questions about what you should bring please call us at 503-285-0464.  Thanks.

Cancellation Policy

The Pacific Northwest is a dynamic and often unpredictable environment. All activities are run/fun rain or shine. All programs are conditions dependent and may change at any time at our discretion. In order to keep our programs affordable a minumum number of participants may be required. If we are unable to fill a program to a minimum requirement level we reserve the right to cancel the program. A full refund will be provided in the event of a cancelled or re-scheduled activity upon request. Please allow 48 hour notice for any cancellations or changes in your reservation. Just give us a call at 503-285-0464. Cancelations within 48 hours of the program are NOT refundable.
