Intro. to Paddling in Conditions will be scheduled a couple of times during the summer.
This full day class introduces the skills and knowledge needed to paddle in wind and waves. The class will be held in open water with wind up to 15 knots. You will discover how to apply all of your flat water strokes and maneuvers in a windy environment. You will learn how to make use of a skeg or rudder to balance your direction in a cross or down-wind scenario. You will gain experience paddling in head, side and following seas, and will apply your self and assisted rescue skills in the kind of environment where they are likely to be needed.
Cancellation Policy
The Pacific Northwest is a dynamic and often unpredictable environment. All activities are run/fun rain or shine. All programs are conditions dependent and may change at any time at our discretion. In order to keep our programs affordable a minumum number of participants may be required. If we are unable to fill a program to a minimum requirement level we reserve the right to cancel the program. A full refund will be provided in the event of a cancelled or re-scheduled activity upon request. Please allow 48 hour notice for any cancellations or changes in your reservation. Just give us a call at 503-285-0464. Cancelations within 48 hours of the program are NOT refundable.
